A Warm Welcome At Wideny: A Simple Tea Gathering For New Team Members

Last week, our office at Wideny felt a little different.
A few new colleagues had just joined the team, and the days were filled with introductions, new routines, and learning names.

To slow things down for a moment, we organized a small tea gathering to welcome our new teammates.

It wasn't planned as a formal event.
There was no presentation and no schedule to follow.
The goal was simple: sit together, talk, and get to know each other naturally.

An Easy Start Through Conversation

During the gathering, new team members shared a bit about themselves-where they came from, what kind of work they had done before, and how their first days at Wideny had been so far.

Some conversations were work-related.
Others were not.

People talked about their first impressions, asked questions, and exchanged small stories from previous jobs. Team members who had been here longer shared their own early experiences, including what helped them adjust and what they learned along the way.

Nothing felt rushed, and no one felt put on the spot.

A Small Moment That Reflects Our Culture

With tea and snacks on the table, the atmosphere stayed relaxed.
People listened, laughed, and spoke freely.

For new colleagues, this was often the first chance to really feel how the team works together-not through tasks or meetings, but through everyday interaction.
Open communication, respect for different perspectives, and a friendly working environment are not just ideas we talk about. They show up in moments like this.

Why We Take Time to Welcome New People

At Wideny, we believe that every new team member brings something valuable.
Creating space for real conversation helps people feel comfortable, ask questions, and slowly find their place within the team.

This tea gathering was a small step, but an important one.
It helped turn a new beginning into something familiar and welcoming.

Looking Ahead Together

The gathering itself didn't last long, but its impact continues as our new colleagues settle into their roles.
We look forward to working together, learning from one another, and building strong cooperation through daily work.

To our new teammates: welcome to Wideny.
We're glad you're here.
